We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, and as the only basis for our beliefs. This church accepts “The Apostolic Faith and Message,” an affirmation of basic Christian beliefs, as a general statement of our faith. This proclamation of faith and redemption is based on scripture that states “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart: that is the word of faith which we preach; that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the HEART man believes unto righteousness, and with the MOUTH confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:8-10). “And since we have the same SPIRIT OF FAITH, according to what is written, “I BELIEVED and therefore I SPOKE”, we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Cor. 4:13). We are told to “walk in the steps of the faith of Abraham” in Romans 4:12. Abraham “believed in the HEART and SPOKE with the mouth.” Paul said that Abraham “called the things which be not, as though they were” (Romans 4:17). This epitomizes the faith by which we are to live.
We believe that scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (II Timothy 3:16, 17) .
We fully believe the mystery of the Godhead. We believe that Jesus was both human and divine, and further, that the Godhead be understood to mean all to the fullness of God (Colossians 1:19 and 2:9). We believe that Jesus was Mary’s son, her God, and her Creator. We believe that God was manifest in the flesh; that Jesus was the eternal Father made visible, apart from whom there is no God. We believe that at the final consummation of all things there will be only God, and that will be our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that man’s first step toward salvation is Godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The new birth is necessary to all men and when fulfilled produces eternal life (II Corinthians 7:10, I John 5:12). We believe that everyone must be born again to enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-5).
We further believe that to experience the new birth one must be baptized, by immersion in water, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and be baptized with the Holy Spirit (Ghost) with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, as the Spirit of the Lord gives utterance (Colossians 2:12; John 3:5; Romans 6:4; Mark 1:10; Acts 8:38-39).
We believe that Jesus’ coming to earth again in person is a doctrine which was clearly set forth in apostolic times. Jesus taught it, the Apostles preached it, and the saints accepted it (Matthew 24:1-51; Acts 1:11; 3:19-21; I Corinthians 1:7, 8; 11:26; Philippians 3:20, 21; I Thessalonians 4:14-17; Titus 2:13, 14).
Our Vision
The Vision of Love Center Ministries, Inc. is to preach and teach the gospel message of Jesus Christ, so that others may come to know Him and his transforming love, and to provide Christ centered worship services and programs to build up members and the community at large.
Our Mission
The Bible teaches us in John 3:16 that “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but they shall have everlasting life.” This verse clearly reveals that God’s love is wide enough to embrace all people.
We are also instructed in Matthew 4:19 that Christians are to be fishers of men, therefore, the “Fisherman’s Net” best describes the basic underlying principal of the Love Center Ministry. We hold fast to Jesus’ declaration that when we follow Him, He will make us fishers of men, and because we belong to Him, it is our privilege to go fishing and to catch anyone and everyone in God’s “safety net” by sharing the gospel with WHOSOEVER will listen.
We are admonished in scripture to go into the highway and hedges and to compel men to come to the Lord. Therefore, we cannot determine who will receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our charge is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone who wants to hear it, and all are welcome regardless of their past or present life experiences, position or socio-economic status. God does the rest.
